Vizard Music Redesign!
As promised, I have released a new design for Vizard Music!
The Changes
The first change I wanted for my blog is the colour. The dark theme I had previously wasn’t really appealing for the eyes to see hence I’ve decided to make this site into a light colour. Now the site colour should be easy for the eyes to see.
Next is the Logo for Vizard Music. I had to learn some basic photoshop techniques in order to create the new logo. Web Design Library have a large resource for photoshop, flash and some web programming tutorials. Do take a look as thats where I learn to make my new Web 2.0 Logo.
I also wanted a gallery for all the videos of singer and musicians that I have blogged about somewhere on the home page. Took me quite a while to find something that is decent enough for me to use. I found that VodPod fits my criteria. VodPod allows me to place a widget on the site to display videos of singers and musicians for visitor and readers to watch. Took me quite a while to make it fit into the template! It does have a disadvantage which is the time it takes to load up.
The sidebar had to be changed so that it will look clean. In the previous theme I had the BlogRush widget in an awkward position which breaks the overall look of the site. Now I’ve made the sidebar size to be the same size as BlogRush and placed it above the fold. This would hopefully bring in more traffic for the site which currently, BlogRush isn’t really doing so.
Last but not least is the advertising. I wanted to have more advertising spot on the site for monetizing purposes. At the site’s header I have a 728 x 90 ad running from AdToll at the price of just $1.50 per week. On the Left Sidebar I have four 125 x 125 ad and AdSense running.

It’s a nice new design…I like it. I think design changing should be done periodicly. It’s important to avoid any disgust…Hope the new design will bring new blogging spirit.
