Blog Action DayBlog Action Day

As mentioned on wednesday, Vizard Music is taking part in the Blog Action Day which falls on the 15th October which is today! The Blog Action Day is simply to gather as many bloggers as possible to work together and create a better world. On this day, thousands of bloggers including VM will be blogging on environment related theme.

The above is a video of two Kenya musicians playing homemade instruments. I believe the video is made by ECOLIFE Foundation however no information is available about those two musicians. Anyway its not that important as we are here to relay a message about our environment.

The 3Rs

The video shows that you don’t need to buy an expensive musical instruments to be a musicians. It will not only save your money but also help the environment. The two Kenya musicians is Reusing materials to make musics. Reuse is one of the 3R, which is Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. There are already a few musicians reusing old buckets, bottles, sticks and other easily available materials to make music. Every contributions made towards the environment counts no matter how small it may seem. Though don’t expect to see musicians abandoning their instruments for a homemade ones any time soon.

Anyway I’m not sure if the two musicians were thinking about the environments when they reuse those materials to make music. It could simply be that they couldn’t afford to buy one. However one should never be hindered by financial difficulties as one can still create wonderful music with some creativity and ingenuity.

ECOLIFE Foundation

The ECOLIFE Foundation is an international non-profit conservation organization developing ecologically sustainable living solutions to improve the quality of human life. They gains financial support through private donations, grants and program revenues. Generous support from private individuals, as well as from corporations and foundations continues to make their growth possible. You too can help them grow by giving your donation online.

I would end this post with a quote taken from ECOLIFE Foundation site.
“The challenge ahead of us is no longer to save a single species, or a bit of habitat, but to save ourselves, and a future for our children.”
